Welcome
Welcome to the official Web site of the Eastern Ontario
Snowmobile Club (EOSC). This site will be the source of
communication with our members and the communities.
The success of the EOSC rests indisputably on the generosity
of our volunteers and all landowners who granted permissions
to establish our network of trails. Take time to show your
appreciation and thank them.
The Eastern Ontario Snowmobile Club is the eastern gateway
to the Ontario and Québec snowmobile paradises. The EOSC and
its 1186 members, manage 435 km of groomed and signalized
snowmobile trails covering the entire Prescott-Russell
United Counties. The southern and western parts of the
club’s snowmobile trails are interconnected with 7 entry
points to the Ontario network of the 41,000 km of prescribed
OFSC (Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs) snowmobile
trails. The northern and eastern parts of the club are
interconnected with 5 entry points to the Québec network of
37,000 km of the FCMQ (Fédération des clubs motoneigistes du
Québec) snowmobile trails. The multitude of landscapes and
vistas within the EOSC’s trails varies from scenic valley
trails, to twisty forest trail scenes, abandon rail line
backcountry trails and hilly or flat agricultural land
trails. You can admire natural beauties like The Voyageur
Park, the Alfred Bog, the Larose Forest, frozen rivers and
creek crossings. All snowmobile trails lead to cities and
villages that accesses different accommodation, food and
fuel services.
In 2005-06, the EOSC participated and supported the Canadian
Breast Cancer Foundation financial campaign organized by the
WOW Relay Team (Way Out Women). A $500 donation was given by
the EOSC to these women during their cross-country trip
through the Prescott-Russell United-Counties on January
29th, 2006. There were also 4 brave EOSC members who crossed
the Canadian Western provinces on snowmobiles by taking part
in their own campaign called the Canadian Sno Challenge.
During their trip, they met the same WOW group at a
presentation evening in Russell Manitoba, to give them an
impressive $7620.00 in donation on behalf the OFSC District
1 and Dow AgroScience for the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation. You can visit their respective websites with
the icons on the bottom of this page.
On the tourism side, the EOSC is gaining momentum. With the
collaboration of the OFSC District #1 office in Morrisburg,
the continuity of the 8 signature trail loops within the
5000 km of trails in the district seems to be rewarding.
Lodgings and restaurants along the trails of
Prescott-Russell benefited from the program and were able to
accommodate these tourists coming from the neighbouring
counties as far as Brockville, Perth, Smith Falls, Calabogie,
Kingston, Peterborough, Quebec and also from New York,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio. The comments received
from these people were eulogistic and all were surprised by
the beauty of our area.
This year the EOSC will continue to offer high quality
trails with the participation of Mother Nature. If you were
satisfied with the quality of our trails, do not forget to
get your trail pass in order to support your local club.
Enjoy and ride safely the 43,000km of trails in Ontario.
Thank you!
Visit our Web site and take note of the provided
information.
I wish you a marvellous season!

President
