Help BRP Ski-doo
fund your local snowmobile club
For the 3rd
consecutive year, BRP is supporting snowmobile clubs across
Canada by giving its members the opportunity to help their
local snowmobile club. The rules for this year’s program
may be found on the BRP website
http://en-ca.ski-doo.com/clubsupport2011/Home.aspx. You
have until November 15th to participate. Don’t
forget to insert the name of the club, ‘Eastern Ontario
Snowmobile Club’ on your certificate.
The Classic Trail
Permit!
The permit is
still available this year at the same price, $125 for sleds
that are at least 15 years old (1997 and older). This
permit is only available through the District 1 office but
forms and instructions are available at your local dealer.
EOSC is holding a
one day Classic Permit blitz on Saturday December 3rd
between 9am and 1pm at Quad Expert, 457 Russell Road in
Hammond. Don’t forget to bring your sled ownership if you
wish to purchase the permit.
EOSC clothing
will also be on sale that day.
Please stay on the trail!
We
thank you for your continued support in remaining on OFSC
prescribed trails. When riders venture off trail,
landowners are upset and there is always the possibility
that they will revoke riding privileges for EVERYONE so
please stay on the trail and educate others so we can enjoy
our sport for years to come. When everyone stays on trail,
it facilitates the efforts of the club volunteers who spend
countless hours every year creating those trails. Respect
the landowners and the work done by the club volunteers.
Thank our farmers and landowners !
A
special thanks to all our landowners! Without their
generosity, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our favorite winter
past time. As for our local farmers, we just can’t say
enough about them. They supply us the land and give
permission for trails to cross their property so we can all
enjoy our sport. The EOSC, with the OFSC, continuously
support the Ontario Federation of Agriculture and its
farmers every year with their claims to the various levels
of government to ensure a sustainable future for
agriculture. Furthermore, many 'Thank You Farmers' signs
were placed at major trail intersections and at many trail
crossings for snowmobilers and the public to see. It’s a
small thank you to a group of devoted individuals with
big hearts.
Thank you and ride safe!
